Rare sedan in walnut, used for wedding events by the family of the Maharaja of Jaipur, Rajasthan (India). The object was reworked by KalaRara’s artists with the addition of silver gilding, hand embroidered seat cushions, hand painted seat backs and a hand-hammered lead panel on the footrest decorated with Venetian glass crystals. Unique of its kind. This exceptional piece was once owned by the Maharaja of Jaipur in Rajasthan, India and dates from around 1880.
