This rosewater sprinkler is an extraordinary and very rare example of mid- nineteenth century Rajasthani craftsmanship.   Made in solid silver which has been hammered and incised by hand. The base features a floral pattern above which the body of the sprinkler depicts two semi-clad female figures that bookend a floral pattern. Over the body of the sprinkler there is a fluted finial that leads to two intertwined dolphin-like creatures. This rare and unusual piece belonged to the palace of the the Maharana of Udaipur.
