Early 19th century black lacquered wooden stand with a set of thirty two calligraphy brushes. The brush handles are made from semi-precious stones, such as: jasper, amethyst and jade. Several of the brush handles are made from carved bone. This an early nineteenth century Chinese Export piece. Sold as a complete set.
